I recently purchased Jim Collins' new monograph, 'Turning The Flywheel', which follows on from one of his chapters in 'Good to Great'. It's only 40 pages, so I'll give you an update once I've read it. But a question to ask yourself now is, "What are you doing to improve your thinking?"

In my role as an independent business advisor I get to speak to many different people in a wide range of industries across Hawke's Bay. So this update looks at my take on the current state of the Hawke's Bay economy, what next, and where the pain points are.

Are you too busy talking that you're not spending the time communicating? A lot of people are so focused on advocating for their own idea, they don't take the time to think about what other people are saying, let alone listen to what the other person is saying.

If you follow Formula 1 you'll know they talk about improvements in 10ths of a second. So in this Vlog I talk about a business that was able to increase profitability by about $200k, just by making small 1% improvements.
